Caroline really stands out amongst the recruitment agents on government platforms. Others I have dealt with have very much felt like a big, impersonal recruitment machine. Caroline offers a brilliantly personal service. Her knowledge of the System is second to none, and she navigates the complexities of some of the bureaucracy on my behalf with aplomb. She always deals with any issues personally, is easy to reach by email or phone, and responds promptly. I have no intention of ever using any other agent if I can possibly avoid it. Caroline has also on-boarded several members of my team. The speed with which she is able to get new starters through the CL1 process is impressive. I am always relieved when a new contractor says that Caroline is their agent. I know she’ll get them through the door a week sooner than most other agents would. And that can make all the difference when deadlines are tight and work can’t progress without a new team member’s skills. I would recommend Caroline without hesitation.
I have known and worked with Caroline since April 2017. Originally, she streamlined my on-boarding to the Home Office and since then has guided me through a lot of legal and regulatory ‘hoops’. In addition, she has acted as a source and conduit to very well qualified people who have subsequently come into the organisation or other parts of UK government. In all respects, Caroline has been exceptionally professional, reflecting both her long experience and deep understanding of many technical roles, particularly as related to UK government. Caroline is friendly and a delight to know and I look forward to continuing to work with her in the future.
From my point of view one of the things that was surprising in my recruitment into the Home Office was the amount of time that it took to get through the on-boarding process. It took longer to get from offer to start date than it did to get from application to offer. I can see that for many people this might not be an issue, if they were working out their notice for example, but for me it was quite frustrating and made more so by the lack of information available about how the process was progressing. The role that [27 Consulting] played was fundamental to me not reopening discussions with some of the other organisations that I had been talking to. You made sure that I had all the information that was available and helped to ensure that multiple approaches were being taken to ensure that the fastest way through the process was found.
Working with Caroline is a dream. As a contractor, I want my agent to be working as hard as I do. Caroline models that approach. I found there is no obstacle that Caroline will not overcome to secure the work and she works tirelessly to ensure that all of the details are attended to. I like that.
Rebekah is without doubt my go to person when it comes to filling senior roles in government. Here’s a few reasons why 1. Seriously well networked 2. Knows how HR works in the civil service and forms positive relationships with business partners, 3. Will go to great lengths to ensure the best possible outcome 4. Works very hard to understand what you are looking for and equally – helps good candidates judge whether the role is going to work for them and lastly 5. Is always, always at your service.
I worked closely with Rebekah Ramsay throughout my application for my current role as Deputy Director of Live Service Operations at the Home Office. She was incredibly helpful from our first engagement until I commenced in the role and has also kept in touch to see how I am getting on. Through recruitment she was supportive from the early stages with advice and help when needed and through the offer process she supported me greatly. She supported me in chasing my security clearance and acting as a key interface into the Home Office to smooth my joining experience. It was clear she was well respected by the local HR team and had a good range of contacts to help with any challenges or obstacles to help the process go as smoothly as possible.
I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you and Sally-Anne for the way in which you ran the recent campaign for the Deputy Director of Technology at the Department for Education, Although I was not ultimately successful, I greatly appreciated the efficient friendly and professional manner in which all communication was dealt with. As a candidate, it was genuinely refreshing to have such excellent support and I cannot fault any aspect of my candidate journey with you, from the initial contact all the way through to the swift feedback after the interview.
I only wish that all campaigns were run this way
